Improve Your Blog Navigation In 3 Simple Steps
It’s important that your blog is set up so that your readers can easily navigate their way around your blog. Blog navigation can be a crucial factor in determining how long someone stays on your blog, as if they can’t find what they want quickly and easily, then they will simply leave your blog.
Here are 3 simple ways to improve your blogs navigation:
1 - Link In To Related Blog Posts
I have a previous blog post explaining why it’s important to link your related blog posts in to each other. This way, your readers will find it easier to locate topics within your blog which they are interested in.
2 - Use Internal Links In Your Blog Posts
This is similar to the method above of using related blog posts links after each blog post. The difference being that you are linking in to other areas of your blog within your blog post, and not at the end of your posts.
3 - Keep Your Blog Layout Simple
I think that the motto “Keep It Simple” applies when you are designing the overall layout of your blog. Sticking to a simple blog layout ensures that your readers will intuitively know where to look for links to other areas of your blog.
These can be implemented straight away within your blog, and you can continuously improve on these factors. So if you feel you can maybe improve your blogs navigation, then by following these 3 simple steps you’ll be on the right track.
