So I’ve been shamelessly plugging my blog through the magic of plugboards! As you can see from the counter up top, a trickle of people have seen my blog. So now I’m thinking I’ll put a plugboard on my site.

I signed up with a plugboard provider, got the code for the plugboard and incorporated it into my blog. This is when I first noticed that the plugboard script must be embedded with code which activates pop-under advertising every time someone views my blog. Pop-under advertising is pretty much the same as good old pop-up advertising, only slightly more devious, as a new window opens underneath the one you are viewing.

Now, it’s all a matter of personal taste, and I’m sure there are people out there who don’t mind these pop-unders, but I find them a little irritating. It’s easy enough to set your pop-up blocker to stop these, but nevertheless, if people visit my blog without their pop-up blocker activated, then they’ll get a pop-under window appearing. And I don’t want my blog to be associated with those.

So bear with me meantime, while I search for an alternative provider of plugboards without pop-ups or pop-overs. I promise I will have a brand spanking new plugboard on my blog in the very near future!
