With the best will in the world, it’s going to be a long, hard journey to get your blog noticed on the internet if no-one knows it exists!

I’ve talked about different methods of getting traffic to your blog by way of things like pinging your blog, using plugboards, writing articles etc etc, and another means of generating traffic is by becoming a member of a blogging forum, and becoming active in the forums. By this, I mean adding valuable comments to threads within the blogging forums, starting your own forum threads and making new blog buddies in the forums!

This is a no-lose situation for you, as the advantages of using blogging forums include:

-Gaining helpful blogging hints and tips from other forum members;
-Getting feedback and opinions on your blog from other forum members;
-Getting you and your blog ‘known’ within the blogging community;
-Creating inbound links to your blog through your signature.

If you are reasonably new to the blogging game, then it’s especially important that you jump in to one of the many blogging forums available online and get your feet wet!
